Contract Scope
3. Scope
3.1. Detailed Scope of Work to be performed by the Contractor shall include the following:
3.1.1 Waste Water Pipe Line Cleaning
The pipeline is approximately 60% full of dense, fine sediment (as shown in the attached photo).
The entire length of the pipeline is 8000 m, with 4 ‘sections’:
1) 300 m of 20-inch carbon steel (in concentrator and service tunnel), with 2070 kPa working pressure
2) 2850 m of 22-inch, DR11 HDPE, with 1170 kPa working pressure
3) 800 m of 22-inch DR17 HDPE, with 690 kPa working pressure
4) 4050 m of 22-inch DR21 HDPE, with 550 kPa working pressure
The pipe can be broken at a few flanged joints along its length, but given the mess this will create in the environment we’d prefer if the entire line is cleaned without having to break it. The end of the pipe is located at the edge of Headwater Pond.
