During 2006, VBNC maintained its unwavering commitment to investment in communities in Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2006, a total of approximately $100,000 was contributed to support a range of community based organizations, arts and cultural programs, educational programs and other initiatives.

In Labrador, priority is given to community investment that improves the lives and preserves the culture of Aboriginal people. This includes support for Aboriginal scholarships, community events, sporting activities and organizations that support arts and culture.
